So did you find yourself in the about section?  I guess I could give a little background.

MeCassieMarie is the name I came up with after years of blogging and roaming around forums and such with other names.  What is a name that would actually stick?  Why not go with a variation of my birth name?  There you have it.

This website is still fairly new and even though I finally have a vision for what I want to do here there's still a lot I don't know.  There's the fun of it all!  Beginning is hard, but I think it will be worth it.  Look for blog posts, videos, music, stupid stuff, serious stuff, and me being a complete an utter geek.

About the girl:

My name's Cassie, good to meet you!  I grew up in western Kentucky, in the middle of nowhere.  Guess what?  I'm still here.  (Oops.)  No, it's not so bad and living with your parents does have some perks.  I did leave to go to college for a couple of years, but it just wasn't for me.  (I withdrew by the way, my grades were actually pretty good.)  The college I went to was in Tennessee and I'm afraid I left part of my heart there.  Nashville is tempting.

My legs were twisted when I was born and in the past few years I've had 4 surgeries that included having both femurs broken.  (Fun stuff right there.)  The pain caused by the twisting in my legs was just getting worse, I'll admit I was scared.  Glad to say that God led me to the right people who fixed these boogers and now they don't hurt anymore.  At some point I'll post detailed post about all of that.  For now, I'll just leave that here.

Speaking of God, He's an enormous part of my life.  I've grown up in a Christian home and I'm very thankful for that.  Even though my faith was crumbled and I seriously doubted for a while I can now say I've learned what I believe for myself.  It only makes me stronger in my love for Him.  So, don't be surprised if you see things on this blog regarding my faith and how wonderful my God is.

Music is the love of my life.  I can't imagine an existence without it.  Lately, I've been writing a lot of things.  I'm not sure if I want to be serious or funny.  It's hard trying to decide on a genre when in reality I'm all over the place.  I play the bass and dabble in guitar, piano, ukelele, violin, and ocarina.

Yeah, I said ocarina.  Which obviously has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a huge geek and bought an ocarina because of the game Ocarina of Time.  I LOVE my movies, books, games, anime, and comics... and I love them a little too much.  Call me obsessive, it's just a solid fact.  I spend way too much time playing games and Netflix is basically my best friend and worst enemy.
